Lawberin’ days are traditionally associated with February when the drier weather allows for access to the fields for ploughing or the vegetable plot for digging. Because of the wet winter, this has been impossible. Today we were able to ‘lawber’ thanks to a second day of sunshine. The ground was still wet but, with plenty of effort for all concerned, turf has been removed and the sites for three of our raised beds have been dug over.
Hazel collected the dinner money in the morning and the visiting art teacher was in during the afternoon.
