Today has been our first snowy day.Nothing spectacular.It did bring some excitement,especially for our P.1 who moved here from London.
P.5 have Chicken pox so we await the rest coming out in spots over the next few weeks.As long as it is all by in time for Up Helly Aa as we have 2 pupils in the jarl Squad.
It is going to be hard to write up our blog for the next few weeks as everything has to be kept secret.We also have to do some spying and find out some of the Jarl squads secrets too.Fun and games.
Ok so what does this have to do with education.Well the organisation skills and design and production of badges are very good ways of covering enterprise.It is a massive contribution to the life of our community.Art & Craft skills are pushed to the limit for both staff and pupils.Creativity and problem solving come into play when we have to decorate the hall in 2 hours.We also learn a lot about our theme.Last year it was Celtic patterns.We ended up making place mats and door mats out of rope.
At the same time as all this is going on we continue with our normal work and the skibladner project with the archaeologist.
