Well first day back after the festivities.Unst still believes in the Julian Calendar so we celebrated Auld Yule on the 6th.A lot of tattie soup and reestit mutton was made and consumed.Reestit mutton is dried salted mutton which has a very distinct flavour.We have auld new year and Up-Helly-Aa to look forward to.
Supposedly we had an earthquake in the early hours of Sunday measuring 4.5 on the richter scale.None of us noticed.
Thelma Jamieson our new Health visitor visited the school today and introduced herself.She hopes to visit the school on a regular basis and get to know us all.She seemed impressed with our health promoting work.Maybe she will be able to develop some different things with us.
