Story time

Posted by: rainbowlightschool | December 12, 2006 |

In a multi composite class it is often hard to get time for a story that everyone can hear at their own level. We have started to use online stories so everyone can listen to something different.Like all good stories the bairns like to hear them over and over again.Check them out at home .Works well if you have broad band.

Raymond our postman came in today and left our Christmas present , a big tin of celebrations.Hurrah!Thank you Raymond.

We are keeping an eye on the weather as we have to go to Lerwick on THursday.Gales are forecast but it does seem to be easing slightly.Time will tell.

Robina the archaeologist was in today.Mrs Priest and her are going exploring this afternoon. They are looking for more Viking graves. This is all part of the Viking Unst Project. We are all glad to be staying inside as it is a miserable day.

What a great idea - My favourite story from your list is Steven the Seagull. Have you class ever tried to write their own stories and record them onto the internet? Nice blog by the way! Ollie

Robina and I had a great afternoon. It didn’t rain when we were out and I did remember where to look! She made notes and will get back to me. I really enjoyed being out with someone who is still new to the island. We live in a fabulous place, even in the winter.

Just taking my weekly look at the blog, I’ve been showing it off to some of my students here at the computing class! Keep up the good work!
