NOt just another week.

Posted by: rainbowlightschool | October 8, 2006 |

We come to the end of a very difficult week for the island of Unst.A week that has brought hope and despair.Once again we find that the most important thing for our pupils is to keep life normal,to provide security and care.

The school has been busy and full of life. The pony sales mark the end of a cycle. We come to the end of our first term and it is interesting to look back over our growing blog.

We close for holidays on Friday at lunch time.A dinner will be served.

I was really concerned to hear that you had a difficult week on Unst. I like the sound of “hope” but not ” despair”. What has happened? Tell me the good news first.

I am back at school today after 2 weeks off. The children are ususally pleased to get back into the routine of school. One of our teachers had gone to Thailand for a holiday but was unaffected by the political unrest there. Another couple of teachers went over to Australia. I stayed home as we’d had a 4 week trip overseas in July. That was when I visited your school and saw all the neat things you have done at your school.

Hope this week is filled with hope for you all.
