Emma and her granny Margaret sent in a whole box of flower petals to dry for pot pouri.The colours are amazing.
It was a normal day of school work.Mother and Toddlers were in down stairs.Arthur came to give fiddle lessons after school.Michael’s granny arrived to take the boys to football training .All part of the Co-Curriculum as it is now called.We just look on it as community………
A wife turned up in the afternoon..Looked kind of environmental with boots and waterproof.Turned out to be Robina who is in charge of the VIKING UNST archaeology project.They are investigating all the Viking long houses of which there is a few on Unst.They are also going to restore the replica full size Viking longship.In the future they hope to build a replica long house.She wanted to know if we would get involved.
No problemo.We already work with GUARD and SHOREWATCH archaeology projects.We don’t do Egyptians or Romans or even Victorians.We do real live Aerchaeology with University teams from all over Europe.We see their machines and recording techniques..Who needs Lara Croft or Indiana Jones.
