Monday again.We were all very successful at the show.All staff and pupils managed to get prizes.Shona put all the prize winners on the glory board.It was a beautiful day on Saturday and the whole island seemed to be out for the day.
Today was Emma’s birthday bake .Anna helped Lauren and Emma to make Tiffin.Shona meanwhile helped Mrs Coutts by collecting flowers from the school and schoolhouse gardens.She is drying them on the radiator to make pot pourri.This will make nice Christmas presents.
Primary 5 + 7 girls have reading every night.P.7 have a maths exercise at the weekend.The Primary 2 & 3 boys have started their homework.Spelling and reading every night now.Write the word 3 times then use one word in a sentence.Old fashioned but useful.In school we are beginning to introduce cowriter on the computer to make their story writing much better.
Today we sent a note of the blog address home.SO parents if you have managed to join us please leave a comment.If any of you know anything about blogs please come and see me because I am struggling here and need a bit of help.I want to know how to put photographs on.
A lot of work completed in the garden this afternoon .We are getting there.

I am glad you are still enjoying some summer weather. It is now spring here in New Zealand and we are all looking forward to summer when we can swim at the beach and enjoy the outdoors. We do a lot of kayaking and tomorrow we are going to Lake Matahina for the day. Mrs Priest will help you find it on a map of NZ.
You commented on homework. If it is any consolation, children her have to do homework every night too!!
